Ice Tea

Ingredients 


Please note this recipe is for 7.5 litres


  • 32 cups water, (keep 4 cups in the fridge and add 4 cups to a medium pot. Add the remaining water 24 cups of water to a large pot.

  • 25 bags of tea

  • 2 cups of sugar



Step 1


Heat the 24 cups of hot water and bring to a full boil. Add the 25 teabags to the hot water and turn heat off and cover the pot to allow the tea to steep for about 20 minutes. Allow to cool fully.


Step 2


In a medium pot and 4 cups of water and 2 cups of sugar and bring to a gentle boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and allow to fully cool.


Step 3


In a large container add, tea water, sugar water and the extra 4 cups of chilled water and mix well.


Refrigerate a few hours before enjoying your homemade ice tea.



On a muggy day it’s always great to have some refreshing ice tea!
