I don't know about you but I've struggled for years trying to make bread at home!!
I'm talking from the perfect loaf from a first time tried recipe that you nailed extremely well, only to try it again and it was hard as a brick, so much so that you're now using it to keep the back door propped open for fresh air!! 🙄
So here's a few suggestions before making this recipe to avoid making a door stop! 🤭
The most important thing is don't make it on a cloudy, rainy day!! Might sound weird, however it changes the humidity in the house and makes proofing the bread more difficult.
Best place to proof the bread is on top of your refrigerator so get out a ladder and clean the dust off and voila!! The heat from the top of the fridge will help the proofing just make sure to keep them covered with a tea towel and no drafts!!
When making the recipe add the flour a cup at a time to make it easier to mix.
